Our lab students, Katja Irob and Erez Harel, installed meteorological stations at four sites in Spain along a natural aridity gradient.

The stations will collect detailed environmental data to track how climate conditions affect litter decomposition above and below ground. This will help us understand how increasing aridity influences carbon cycling and the stabilization of soil organic matter.
